I did a search for "feedly" thinking I might find the Twitter handle for its CEO, Edwin Khodabakchian. Below is what came back from Twitter, presumably because these results had the word "feed" in them somewhere (but not "feedly").

Edwin was nowhere to be found. As in "not in this result set at all" (not all results are in the screencap image). I don't mean I just had to scroll further down. Not there...even though "feedly" is obviously a term in his Twitter bio.

Twitter is obviously going way overboard with its celebrity worship. Can you say broken?

Basically it was the XEROX ad known from TV (as a forced pre-roll that blocks view of the photos), the one with the corporate drones sitting in a meeting pondering about how they might save money for the corporation...

Can you say poor ad-to-story match? Jeez... let Dennis rest for a few days before he has to start rotating in his grave...will ya? And then they wonder why people HATE ads...

Just a little example of what happens due to Twitter's inglorious data black hole, which I've written about since early last year.

This 7 day or so barrier as shown below will have this conversation (potentially useful for Website/blog owners) disappear from your view within the next day or so.

And how much detailed, useful information "molecules" in the form of brief exchanges is passing you by every hour of every day on Twitter? UNLESS you somehow happen to catch it by accident, as I just did with this output from Twitter Search (I was actually looking for something else further up in the results).

I don't know if there could be a stronger case for why we need much better curation tools. Actually useful stuff, not just useless info "atoms", are slipping through our fingers at every moment.

Maybe Twitter should, rather than worry about its Business customers so much, first give regular users useful features like 1-click surfacing of conversation threads, or permanent search of at least our own tweets in their Web UI.
